Who Am I

This is Yunzhu Wang AKA Ada from China, my motto is marrying a prince is not a prerequisite for being a princess. I am a puppy lover, have a poodle named Dingding. My goal from a young age has been to study abroad and return back as a more prepared individual; my family and I have been making such preparations for a while! Having been born in Changzhou, China, we decided to come to Shanghai to study at an international school with an American curriculum, Living Word Shanghai, where the goal was to first familiarize myself a little bit with the American curriculum as well as with the school’s many American teaching staff. Afterwards, I moved to the 50th state in the United States which is Hawaii, where I started my sophomore year as one of only a few Chinese international students. It was a challenging experience to live and study in a foreign country with an brand new exotic culture, but to me that was an adventure and a new chapter of my life. The flight number, MU571, is never unfamiliar to me. I flied back to my home country frequently and I started to realized the sorrow and emptiness inside of me after having the crazy fun under the city lights compare to how peaceful I am when I sing the hymns on the beach, let the warm sunshine and sea breeze blows into my mind. After nearly five years of American education, I started to know American humor, culture, religions, customs and people better, communicate with others bravely and join the local community. My best skill is playing the piano. I started to play the piano since I was four-year-old to today. Different from American kids, I practiced at least one hour every day with my teacher for 11 years incessantly no matter there was bad weather or holiday. From my perspective, music is a language to express one’s feeling nonverbally. All things come to those who wait, I passed the level 10 Certification of Piano in Shanghai Conservatory of Music and JiangSu Provincial Musicians Association of China with excellent grade at the age of twelve. Although I major in business management, music is still where my passion at and I continuously take keyboard classes with music professor at Penn State Abington every semester.
